After an amazing lunch I took a drive. There’s a pennisula in Kentucky that dips into Tennesse called Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area.

As you can see, there’s a lot to explore. I chose the see the Great Western Iron Furnace first. I had no idea about iron furnaces or that iron was even a thing in this part of the country; super interesting and just another great thing to learn about our amazing country. It was wondrous to experience something large and old!

Stop number 2 was Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and Living History Museum – loved this place!! So neat to see how life used to be lived and wonder “what would it be like”!?
