Happy Monday! July 25, 2022

Explored the area a bit today. Discovered that Kuttawa, KY is a water community; lakes, rivers, etc., restaurants on the harbor and amazing views. Even got to see about 4 fish jump out of the water for a snack, that was a first!

Boats……lots of BIG boats

Food was next on the list…..

Had a really tasty lunch at The Oasis Southwest Grill, which consisted of pulled pork, coleslaw and fried okra…….simply awesomeness. There’s even a DIY how to make a still available, who wouldn’t want to know that….lol. They had a beer on tap called “Cougar Bait” – didn’t try it, but it made me giggle 🙂

Can’t forget a lil history lesson…….

I had no idea that this part of Kentucky was such a large iron producer back in the day. I did some research and discovered that there is a blast furnace still standing, about 45 min away – I’ll be checking that out this weekend. To be continued……..

  1. I missed chicken liver 🙂 We fry it with sunflower oil, onion and potato (like french fries) and eat it with bread.
    Awesome pictures. I wish we could click on them to maximize
