I left for Chattanooga, TN on Saturday, August 20. I drove about 9.5-10 hrs to Paducah, KY to crash for the night. It was a really nice hotel that allowed dogs, at NO extra charge! So my furbabies had their first ever stay in a hotel 🙂 They loved it and did excellent!
We left Paducah, KY around 9ish to head to Chattanooga, TN. It’s roughly a 4.5 hr drive, so not too bad. It was such a beautiful drive that I caught myself going SLOWER than the speed limit; for those that know how I drive, you know that never happens…..lol.
Once I saw that “WELCOME TO TENNESSEE” sign, I had a big ol’ grin on my face – finally made it!! My absolute favorite part was the drive from Nashville to Chattanooga. The traffic was….well….awful, but the views made up for it AND I found a Roush F-150 to follow and we did just fine thru traffic; making sure to put those Roush motors to use when needed 😉 Anyways – I would advise anyone to make that drive. If you’ve ever driven across the bridges in Florida to Key West; it’s the same concept, just mountains instead of water – and JUST as breath taking! As you come down out the mountains into Chattanooga, there’s a large curve that goes to the left……and it follows the TN River, like RIGHT NEXT to the river!! All I could do was say wow and try to watch the road…..lol.
